Quotes, Songs, and ‘I’ll see you down the road’

We travel, some of us forever, to seek other states, other lives, other souls. Anais Nin

“You fill up my senses
Like a night in a forest
Like the mountains in springtime
Like a walk in the rain
Like a storm in the desert
Like a sleepy blue ocean
You fill up my senses
Come fill me again”

Annie’s Song by John Denver

One day I will find the right words, and they will be simple. Jack Kerouac

“Just as free
Free as we’ll ever be

Just as free
Free as we’ll ever be

Drive until the city lights
Dissolve into a country sky
Me and you”

I’ll see you down the road. Nomadland

‘I’ll see you down the road’ is what I say to fellow travelers when we part ways. It isn’t goodbye. I’d like to give a shout out to them, sharing just their first initial and where we met.

Met L. alongside the beautiful Lochsa river. He was the first nomad that I met on my travels, such an inspiration.

Met W. watching the sunrise. He was an example of persistence, it may take time but you just get better and better at being a nomad.

Met P. while listening to the ocean. He reminded me as he sang and played his guitar that music is so important.

Met A. at an awesome local coffee shop. It was the conversation, sharing of knowledge, and celebrating the simpler life that moved me.
